Surfer
Four surfers riding big waves come together to ride one giant perfect tube. Filmed at Puerto Escondido on Mexico's West Coast, famous for its regular big surf. The first time 35mm cameras mounted on remote Libra heads on jetskis have been used to shoot at the foot of such big waves. Starring Carlos 'Coco' Nogales, Mexico's leading big wave 'tow-in' surfer, a former street kid from Mexico City.

THE MEXICAN PIPELINE ROARS
On Monday, June 19th, a day prior to the kick off of the Rip Curl Pro Search WCT "Somewhere in Mexico", a massive swell rocked Puerto Escondido. Beach side cafes were wiped out and water flooded the streets of Playa Zicatela. Two teams of tow-in surfers (Scott Chandler, Chuck Patterson, Carlos 'Coco' Nogales, Ken 'Skindog' Collins, Chad Jackson) went out at first light in what many are calling the biggest Mexican Pipeline in years. Veteran director Dave Ogle (Puerto Underground 4) was kind enough to share his 'secret' filming spots so that David Palmer could capture this epic day on film.

PUERTO ESCONDIDO: FULL THROTTLE
Puerto Escondido is on full throttle. With the recent swell proving too big to paddle, some professional tow teams are taking at stab at the Mexican Pipeline. "All systems are a go," Jamie Sterling informed us via email. Sterling and his partner Coco Nogales are featured here whipping each other into some serious beach break bombs, in what Sterls claims "15 ft. Hawaiian with bigger rogue sets". Feel the power.
